As if life could get any better for fans of Animal Collective following the release of the New York outfit’s new studio album, Merriweather Post Pavilion, they now have a slew of new tour dates to revel in. And when we say slew, that’s probably an understatement.
Following a previously announced warm-up tour across U.S., AC will kick off its extensive two-and-a-half month tour overseas in early March before making their way back home two months later. Currently, the U.S. portion runs to mid-June, but considering an appearance at the 2009 edition of ATP New York is already confirmed, one has to think even more dates, particularly in the form of festival appearances will eventually pop up. Needless to say, Animal Collective will be quite the busy band in the coming months. Then again, when aren’t they?
