Gui Boratto plans to leave you breathless

With a title like Take My Breath Away, Brazil’s Gui Boratto is setting some pretty lofty expectations for his forthcoming studio album. Then again, with the amount of styles and sounds that will be resonating from the 11-track endeavor when it officially hit stores on March 3rd, you’ll probably be breathless just trying to take everything in.

The followup to 2007’s Chromophobia promises to offer the same anthemic and joyous nature that made its predecessor so darn appealing, but with a bit more sophistication and refinement mixed in. Beaming with everything from shoegaze and pre-goth 80s mope rock to Detroit-influenced techno and Latin-friendly percussion, Take Your Breath Away will look to offer electro heads with an album that is melodic, warm, and expansive, all while incorporating Gui’s acclaimed dance floor-approved beats. Hey, now that I think of it, the dancing aspect of this album, you know, when you dance along to its 11 tracks, will probably leave you breathless too.

Speaking of dancing, there should be plenty of it at any of Boratto’s upcoming U.S. tour dates, which kicks off with a stop at the Winter Music Conference in Miami and concludes at this year’s Coachella Music Festival.
