In exactly two weeks, Umphrey’s McGee will embark on a fairly extensive North America tour in support of its recently released new studio album, Mantis. Ahead of the trek, which officially kicks off on February 12th in Madison, Wisconsin, the Chicago base rockers will do something creative: they’ll take to the web for a virtual tour of sorts.

Between now and Friday, Umphrey’s will debut five different live videos on five different music-friendly websites, the first of which will be on the band’s iLike page starting today. Other sites tapped to host the new clips, which will be highlighted by a sneak preview of the band’s recent stop at Soundstage (the full performance will premiere on PBS on Thursday), include our friends over at Hidden Track and WNEW. The full list of videos follows…

07.30.06 Fuji Rock Festival, Japan – “Bridgeless”
08.04.06 Lollapalooza, Chicago, IL – “Higgins”
08.31.08 Red Rocks, Morrison, CO – “Wappy Sprayberry”
10.28.07 Vegoose, Las Vegas, NV – “Wizard Burial Ground”
    08.21.07 Soundstage – “Morning Song”

As for the aforementioned tour dates, or the ones where Umphrey’s McGee will actually physically show up, as mentioned, the trek kicks off later this month and will all the way until late Mach, highlighted by stops at the Langerado Music Festival, Summercamp, and the 10,000 Lakes Music Festival. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.com.
