There’s one thing pretty evident about the summer’s upcoming music festivals: either jam band kids have it really good, or they all like the five or six same bands. I just haven’t figured out which one is the case yet. Whatever the case may be, thanks to the High Sierra Music Festival‘s recently announced 2009 lineup, jam heads have another weekend of jam-friendly action to look forward to.
Billed as a combination of new faces and classic High Sierra favorites, this year’s lineup sees the likes of John Butler Trio, Umphrey’s McGee, The Disco Biscuits, Galactic, and Ani DiFranco highlighting the list of acts currently scheduled to descend on Quincy, California from July 2-5, 2009. Also confirmed to take part include The Del McCoury Band, The Wailers, Tea Leaf Green, Steve Kimock Crazy Engine, The Lee Boys, Dr. Dog, Cornmeal, and Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue.
All in all, High Sierra’s 2009 lineup looks something like this…
ALO, Ani DiFranco, Bonerama, Cornmeal, Del McCoury Band, The Devil Makes Three, The Disco Biscuits, Dr. Dog, Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Everest, Fareed Haque and The Flat Earth Ensemble, Galactic, J-Boogies Dubtronic Science, Joe Craven and Sam Bevan Duo, John Butler Trio, The Lee Boys, Living Folklore, Marco Benevento Trio, McTuff, Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue, Nathan Moore, Ollabelle, The Pimps of Joytime, Poor Mans Whiskey, Pretty Lights, Steve Kimock Crazy Engine (feat.
