Bacardi plans summer fun! Party!

In the latest example of a liquor company providing summer entertainment that goes beyond the type that leave you with a headache in the morning, Bacardi has unveiled plans for Bacardi B-Live, a brand new concert series designed to take a pretty diverse bill of musicians across the country beginning in May. Among those currently tapped to participate include MSTRKRFT, DJ A-Trak, Major Lazer, Tiga, Steve Porter, DJ Z-Trip, Matt & Kim, Q-Tip, and Santigold.

Currently, Bacardi B-Live plans a 22-date venture, with stops in all the U.S. major metropolitan area, all of which will also apparently include a “memorable stage and lighting experience that complements the overall theme of the events.” And no, this time around, sarcasm isn’t warranted:

Designed by multimedia environment company, Moment Factory, an old-school boom box will illuminate the room and serve as a backdrop for performing music acts. Adding to the visual appeal, renowned illustrators and designers have produced limited edition posters and silk-screen t-shirt designs to create an experience that lives on with attendees long after the event.

Only 21+ and over please. After all, liquor will be a flowing; attendees will have the opportunity to sample custom-made Bacardi rum cocktails at the Bacardi Bespoke Bar. So, maybe that part about summer entertainment that goes beyond the type that leave you with a headache in the morning isn’t entirely accurate.
