Let’s face it. With a reunion tour with Bad Company looming, Paul Rodgers won’t have much time for other things in the coming months, such as his work as part of Queen + Paul Rodgers. So, it should come as little surprise that English native has confirmed to Billboard.com that he will not take part in any of Queen‘s future endeavors, at least not anytime soon.
“At this point we’re gonna sit back from this,” Rodgers says. “My arrangement with (Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor) was similar to my arrangement with Jimmy (Page) in The Firm in that it was never meant to be a permanent arrangement.
After first collaborating with the legendary outfit during the U.K. Music Hall of Fame Awards in late 2004, Rodgers would join Queen two world tours and a new studio album, 2008’s The Cosmos Rocks.
Bad Company kicks off its 10-date reunion tour next month in Hollywood, Florida. Queen has yet to announce any dates for 2009.
