As has been the case all summer, there will be quite a few music festivals taking place this upcoming weekend and, well, as has been the case all summer, you don’t necessarily have to leave the comfort of your computer chair to watch the action.
This weekend the Pitchfork Music Festival will return to Chicago for its fourth go around, while Denver’s Mile High Music Festival will offer its sophomore edition. And awesomely enough, both festivals will be streaming the festivities live on the web.
Pitchfork’s webcast, available via pitchforkmusicfestival.com, is jammed pack and will feature performances from many of the bigger names set to appear, including The Flaming Lips, The National, The Jesus Lizard, Built to Spill and Grizzly Bear.
Mile High Music Festival will be using iClips.net to provide its virtual view. The broadcast schedule is still forthcoming, but with the likes of Widespread Panic, Tool, The Black Keys, Thievery Corporation and Gogol Bordello set scheduled perform, you’ll probably be able to find something worth watching.
