When not hanging out with those crazy kids of Phish, Trey Anastasio has been spending a lot of his recent times on his orchestral composition, Time Turns Elastic. Back in September, he gave the work its live debut with the help of Orchestra Nashville and then, in May released it for all to hear via Rubber Jungle Records. Now, with his Phish obligations temporarily finished, Anastasio is ready to take Time Turns Elastic on the road again… this time to the Big Apple.
On September 12th, the Phish frontman will team with conductor Asher Fisch and the New York Philharmonic to give Time Turns Elastic its New York premier. The event, which is aptly titled An Evening with Trey Anastasio and the New York Philharmonic, will take place at at Carnegie Hall and seeks to raise profits for the Kristine Anastasio Manning Memorial Fund and the New York Philharmonic.
Tickets for the performance will go on sale beginning Today at 9:00 AM EST via carnegiehall.org.
