Brah releases Home’s eight-disc digital box set

    Looks like Brah Records are finally supplying the fans’ question of why the art-rock band Home‘s discography starts with IX. The group has released The Home Boxset: I-VIII through SC Distribution. It’s currently available at digital retailers everywhere for the fan-friendly price of $15.99.

    According to a press release, the boxset’s journey began in 1991 when members Eric Morrison and Andrew Deutsch began using a “supertape” from Radio Shack to mix down their latest songs. Once the cassette was filled, twenty copies were made, placed in a candy jar, and sold for $1 each on the counter of Tampa’s Blue Chair Music.

    Now that parts one through nine have been released, the next chapter of the Home series, Home XVII, is set for release on January 26th. An escalating, slow jam, psychedelic preview, in the form of a track called “Photographed With Ease”, can be heard below.
