Apparatjik, the self-described music and art project fusing scientific interest and artistic effort, is finally ready to unveil their debut full-length. As producer Martin Terefe revealed on his personal website, the super group of Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman, Mew frontman Jonas Bjerre, and a-ha guitarist/keyboardist Magne Furuholmen “will be in Berlin next week for the international debut of his band Apparatjik. Their debut album is released on the same day as their first show. 01022010,” aka February 1st, 2010.

Details regarding the yet-to-be-titled effort, which of course follows the recently released 9-minute single “Electric Eye”, stop there, but Terefe did leave us with one other rather awesome piece of info: Apparatjik’s first show will take place in a “glass cube” at Club Transmediale. Further examination on the venue’s website brings us to the following description:

“Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, the ‘Bauhaus Bühne’, and Lazlo Moholy-Nagy’s work ‘Light-Space-Modulator’ from 1930 in particular, this first ever performance of Apparatjik will take place inside a specially constructed cube at the WMF on Monday, February 1st, 2010.”
