Let this be a lesson for all of you passing on flu vaccinations. In a case of bad timing, Norwegian indie duo Kings of Convenience have canceled their current U.S. tour as Eirik Glambek Bøe has fallen ill with the flu-virus.

This tour would have been the group’s first in five years and they had quite the appearances scheduled. This included an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon in addition to a sold-out show at New York’s Webster. While the Kings themselves still have the old dates listed on their website, the band’s MySpace page posted a message saying, “Eirik ill. US tour postponed until June.”

Further confirmation came from the opener of the U.S. leg, Franklin For Short, who said “The Kings of Convenience // Franklin for Short East Coast Tour has just been canceled. Unfortunately, due to a rather gnarly illness the Kings have pulled out. Possible rescheduling of shows to happen in the future, be on the look out. We are super bummed and hope Eirik feels better soon!”
