Just three days before Kele, of Bloc Party notoriety, was set to begin his first solo tour July 23rd at Chicago’s Subterranean, the Liverpudlian has been forced to put those plans on hold. According to Hollywood music venue the Troubadour, where Kele was originally to play August 10th, visa issues are the reason for the postponement.

Most of Kele’s dates have been pushed back more than a month, with the tour’s new launch date now set for September 2nd at DC’s 9:30 club. However, if you live near Philadelphia, Ottawa, Detroit, or Milwaukee, you’re not as lucky — none of these dates have currently been re-scheduled.

The extra month in England also means Kele will not be able to play Montreal’s Osheaga Festival. Originally scheduled to perform July 31st at the festival, his Montreal show will now take place at the Belmont September 4th. But don’t expect festival revelers to be too heartbroken, the festival still includes sets by Arcade Fire, deadmau5, Major Lazer, Snoop Dogg, Weezer and Pavement.

Also due to the change in dates, many of the originally scheduled locations have been affected. The Chicago, Boston, and LA performances will all take place in different venues than previously announced.

But with bad news does come a bit of good news. With an extra month to rest, Kele has decided to add performances in Denver and Omaha.

Confused yet? Our best advice is to just check out the updated tour itinerary below.

All tickets are expected to be honored at the newly released shows, but please contact the venues for more information. Not able to make the new date? Refunds are also available at point of purchase. Also, tickets are still available for several dates at Ticketmaster.
