Despite what most of us may think, the end of summer is not the end all be all. Case in point, this year’s Scion Garage Fest. On October 2nd, the one-day extravaganza will completely overwhelm the music venues of Lawrence, Kansas, bringing with it a jam-packed lineup featuring the likes of The Raveonettes, King Khan & the Shrines, Best Coast, Times New Viking, The Greenhornes, and The Ponys among others. Plus, we haven’t even mentioned that legendary and recently reunited garage bands The Oblivians and The Gories will top the bill.
And to think… it’s all free. As in, it won’t cost you a penny, which of course is great news considering how much money you just dropped on pizza and bottles of wine at Lollapalooza. To attend, all you have to do is RSVP.
As an incentive for CoS readers, however, we have three pairs of passes to give away, and though all tickets are free, these ones will make your life a bit easier. Winners will have their tickets mailed ahead of the festival, which eliminates any travel arrangements to pick up the tickets and removes the element of the RSVP waiting list. Who doesn’t like easy?
