Just because one (particularly handsome and intelligent) reviewer had said that Danzig (both the man and the band) had lost a step or two in their new album Deth Red Sabaoth doesn’t mean it’s the be-all end-all verdict. In fact, said wonderful writer may be proven wrong when Danzig hits the road for a rather impressive fall outing (via Brooklyn Vegan). Maybe.
The “Blackest of the Black” tour kicks off October 25th in Albuquerque, NM. From there, it’s on throughout the South and the Southwest and then on into the Midwest and into the Pacific Northwest. See the full tour dates are below, and note that many of these markets and venues haven’t seen Danzig in quite some time. Get excited, Fargo.
It should also be noted that Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative will be replaced on drums by Bevan Davies. Also rounding out the tour will be Possessed, Toxic Holocaust, Withered, and Marduk, the Swedish black metal band who is making a rare American tour appearance.
Tickets for select shows are available via Ticketmaster.com.
