Einstürzende Neubauten offer concerts, fan conclaves for 30th annniversary tour

We’re sure that when you think Berlin avante-garde music, you think Einstürzende Neubauten. If you came up with another name, please let us know, cause that’s the only one we’ve got.  Regardless, the German experimental band is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, and they’re taking das party to five North American cities for some unique concert experiences.

The group will play a total of 10 shows in Los Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA, Chicago, IL, Toronto, ON, and New York City (two in each, duh).  In each city, the first date will be your standard gig, with songs from the band’s lengthy career featured.  Then, on the very next night, the venue will host a multi-disciplinary experience. In case that’s all dutch to you, there will be a series of events to let you in on life behind the scenes and the band’s creative process. Among the offerings will be a Q&A, films about the band  and their music, a photo gallery retrospective of the band, and solo performances. Top that, Behind the Music.
