Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and rest of Young Money – “YM Salute”

Family reunions are a wonderful time. At parks and banquet halls across the world, families can come together and share stories and laugh and bask in the glow of that oh-so familiar bond. Of course, if it’s a Young Money family reunion in the form of a track called “YM Salute” (via The Fader), it involves shoot-outs and rhyming “bury me” with “bury me”. We can just feel the warmth (among other things).

Reunited in whole for the first time since “BedRock”, Lil Wayne, along with Gudda Gudda, Lil Chuckee, Jae Millz, Lil Twist, and Nicki Minaj (hey, another collaboration!), are more or less the masters of cramming as many people into a track as humanly possible and still giving them each enough time to shine (or, in some cases, waste a minute or so of tape.) As the title indicates, expect lots of army references and everyone talking about the camaraderie between all 500 members of YM. Sorry, that was an exaggeration; it’s closer to 800.

In case you were wondering, the song is a bonus track off Weezy’s I Am Not a Human Being. Enjoy the tagged track below (download link via Miss Info).
