Ray Davies really did team up with Metallica for duet album

At the end of the day, Ray Davies will be best known for his work with The Kinks, and deservedly so. That said, his forthcoming duet album should go down as one of his most crowning achievements. After all, the dude managed to round up Bruce Springsteen, Billy Corgan, the late Alex Chilton, Jon Bon Jovi, Black Francis, Spoon, and Metallica. So, yeah, whether the album — aptly titled See My Friends — is actually good, its quality pales in comparison to the sheer absurdity of its tracklist, which you can check out below (via 24B). That said, you can already stream several snippets from the effort here, and my premature evaluation is everybody’s gonna be happy.

See My Friends arrives November 1st.
