WTF: The Dismemberment Plan ‘covers’ Willow Smith, Glee tackles Yeah Yeah Yeahs

You ever spend an entire car ride skipping every song that comes on your music player? It’s the worst. Most of the time you can solve the problem by strengthening your catalog on your Zune or Mini-Disk, but sometimes everything bores you. What’s left? Has music reached its metaphysical ‘dead end’? Is the universe out of music? No — because you haven’t heard The Dismemberment Plan giving an extended nod/jam to Willow Smith, nor have you heard a bunch of musical theatre majors who ended up on a TV show belt out Yeah Yeah Yeahs‘ “Heads Will Roll”.

The former (via TwentyFourBit) happened on D-Plan’s current reunion tour at New York City’s Webster Hall, and like former renditions of “Whip My Hair”, Travis Morrison add his own, beardy spin to it.

The latter (via Spinner) will be debuted fully upon Glee‘s return to national television after The Super Bowl this coming Sunday, February 6th. It bears mentioning that Karen O’s tune is mashed up with Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” so don’t be surprised when that happens. Also, don’t be surprised that it’s just terrible.
