After dedicating a good chunk of last year’s budget to reliving Pavement’s glory days, Pitchfork Music Festival will use 2011 to celebrate some of music’s more recent success stories. Animal Collective, TV on the Radio, Fleet Foxes, and a reunited Dismemberment Plan will headline this year’s festivities, set for July 15-17 in Chicago’s Union Park.
Other confirmed acts include Cut Copy, Deerhunter, Destroyer, Odd Future, James Blake, Ariel Pinks Haunted Graffiti, Yuck, Kylesa, Das Racist, Curren$y, Sun Airway, and Woods. Even more performers will be announced in the weeks leading up to the festival.
Tickets go on sale today at 12:00pm CST, with single-day tickets for $45 and three-day passes for $110. For more details, visit the festival’s website.
