The three years that have followed the release of Justice‘s † have been mired in bullshit, specifically in the form of any and every DJ hacking Justice-like email accounts with claims of new music. Now, though, it appears the follow-up to the French duo’s masterful debut is finally upon us.
Update: As per a newly posted teaser video and accompanying Facebook account, Justice plans to release a brand new single entitled “Civilization” on April 4th through Ed Banger Records, with a new studio album to follow later this year.
Details stop there, but the news follows a recent statement by Jesse F. Keeler (aka JFK) of the dance group MSTRKRFT in which he claims that Justice’s new album is finished (via 107.7 The End).
“The new Justice record is done and from what they told me it sounds like a band practicing, actually just the other day. It’ll be very interesting to see how the music evolves.”
French creative agency Surface to Air say the image above (which is also posted on Justice’s Facebook page) is the artwork for the group’s brand new single. Available below is the aforementioned teaser video, which might be better served as the Cloverfield 2 promo.
