Check Out: Rome ft. Jack White – “The Rose With The Broken Neck”

Despite his legendary status and constant output, it’s necessary every now and then that Jack White does something especially memorable to remind us that even a Mecca like Nashville, TN recognizes him as a musical force of nature. This time around, said reminder comes in the track “The Rose With The Broken Neck”, off Danger Mouse/Daniele Luppi Rome album. Violent poetic imagery aside, the song offers a dreamy ambiance to listeners as White delivers some especially trippy and pained vocals (which is saying a lot for a whacked-out musical deity like Señor White.) Check out the track below via Some Kind Of Awesome.

Rome is now scheduled to hit stores May 17th via Capitol Records. You can hear another White-featuring track in the form of “Two Against One” here.
