Look up “successful reunion” in the dictionary and you won’t find anything because it’s two words, stupid. But if it were in the dictionary, you’d see a picture of Meat Puppets right next to the definition. It’s been five years since they’ve gotten back together, and they’ve just released their third album in that time, Lollipop. In support of the occasion, the band will hit the road throughout the spring and early summer.
They’ll open things off with help from Slightly Stoopid in Lexington, KY. From there the two bands will travel around to Knoxville, TN, Tulsa, OK, Lawrence, KS, Des Moines, IA, Fargo, MN, Minneapolis, MN, and St. Louis, MO. Meat Puppets will then continue on in Lubbock, TX and head off west through Sante Fe, NM, Phoenix, AZ, and a slew of Cali dates. Washington state, Portland, OR, and Salt Lake City, UT all get some rock before the band hooks back up through Omaha, NE to end their trek at Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI.
Meat Puppets are also set to play the Animal Collective-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties May 13-15, where they’ll perform their Up On The Sun record. Check out their full tour schedule below, and pickup Lollipop today.
