When last we talked Dr. Dre‘s Detox, the long-delayed LP apparently had itself an April 1st release date. Well, it’s May 6th and there’s still no Detox — or even a release date for that matter. But that’s ok, because we now have a wicked sound system in our Chrysler 300 to blast Detox once it does see light.
Joking aside, there are still seven more months left in 2011, which has already been the 46-year-old rapper/producer’s most productive year since first announcing the LP eight years ago. Already we’ve heard the album’s first two singles, “Kush” and “I Need a Doctor”, and now comes another in the form of “Die Hard”. The track, which features longtime collaborator Eminem, received its premiere during the Showtime series Fight Camp 360 just moments ago. Unfortunately, a bunch of boxing commentary was interspersed throughout, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer before hearing the official version.
