After UK’s Cornershop successfully fan-funded their most recent release, Cornershop & The Double O Groove Of, the Tjinder Singh-led band is once again reaching out to fans old and new. Over 20 years and 8 studio albums, singer/songwriter Singh has produced several outtake tracks through collaborations with friends and foes, and he is now set to release the six best to fans through a series of one-sided releases called The Singhles Club.
Though the series does not officially start until later this month, the first single “Non-Stop Radio” is available below in video form. And if the french-electro track is an accurate indicator, the club is definitely worth the $9.67 price tag – or one Pound per track. “Non-Stop Radio” featuring Celeste can be downloaded directly from the band’s site on May 30th, and all subsequent singles will be emailed directly to club members on a one-per-month basis. Each single will arrive with exclusive printable artwork.
The remaining tracks are not yet known, but Singh’s previous collaborators also include Noel Gallagher and Guigsy of Oasis and Punjabi folk singer Bubbley Kaur.
