Folks in Kansas City, KS have more than just their finger-lickin’ BBQ to be proud of these days: Farm Aid is coming to town. For this year’s installment, the 26-year-old foundation arrives in KC this August to once again offer a stellar lineup to its supporters, all in the name of America’s hard-working farmers and their family-owned lands. Win-win, right?
Set to go down August 13th at KC’s brand new Livestrong Sporting Park, the foundation’s board members — John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, and Willie Nelson —will all perform on the same day. They won’t be alone, however, as additional acts will also be announced over the next month. Still, you can’t argue over that much talent in one day.
That’s why it would behoove you to take note of the gig’s pre-sale. Starting today, Farm Aid Members can purchase tickets through the Farm Aid website. For those of you who aren’t a member, the general on-sale starts May 20th at 10 a.m. CST through Ticketmaster.
Do some good, dig some tunes, help your country. Giddy up!
