The world hasn’t heard much new music from Los Campesinos! since they announced the launch of their fanzine in December, but now CoS has the premiere of the Wales-based indie-pop collective’s remix of Dinosaur Bones’ “N.Y.E.”. And while Los Campesinos!’s reworking of the fourth track from Dino Bone’s debut LP, My Divider, doesn’t really stray too far from the original, it’s still a really interesting listen.
The rehashing turns down the track’s drums and clamoring bass line and trades them in for a more mellow acoustic guitar riff and a driving, yet quiet xylophone part. Los Campesinos!’s take, however, still maintains the original’s big, memorable chorus. Check out the track below.
