Check Out: SuperHeavy – “Miracle Worker”

Fun fact: Mick Jagger says his new super group, SuperHeavy, which includes Eurythmics’ frontman Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, A.R. Rahman, and Damian Marley, is “different from anything else [he’s] ever been involved in.” Admittedly, loose statements like that hardly prove worthwhile; though, really, could it sink as low as this? Probably not. But if we’re to judge the group, whose debut LP hits streets on September 20th, on the basis of their first single, “Miracle Worker”, then we’re apt to believe in the lean Rolling Stones frontman. It’s definitely a shift from his familiar jangly blues rock. Some might feel it’s a tad messy. Let’s just say, if you like your grooves with a lil’ sparkle, then you’re about to dive into a five star (literally) aural scrapbook. We’ll see how the rest pans out come September, though…

The track is now available on iTunes. Update: You can stream the track at BBC2 (scroll to the 1:45:45 mark).
