To get a properly tripped-out video, you can go one of two routes. Dazzle the audience with random special effect or go for a lo-fi angle that lets the atmosphere set the mood. Alex Goddard opts for the latter in his Clubfeet video. “Broken Hearted” features slow motion filming of a man drying his hair, a woman walking through a darkened parking garage, and a tiny bit of metaphorical dancing. Doesn’t sound too atmospheric? Just watch for yourself.
