Here, production team Science of Sound takes a page from the book of Mickey and Mallory Knox (most notably Mallory, hence the female protagonist’s hair). Actually, it’s safe to say they take a page from Tarantino, as scenes from “On Your Side” allude to both Natural Born Killers and Kill Bill. Two couples are the center of the video; one, a pair of star crossed youths who seem hell-bent on destruction, and the other, a couple on their wedding day. When both couples cross paths, it turns from playful love, to straight up crime. And I don’t want to spoil the ending, but the finale shot is to die for.
“On Your Side” is from Career Culture, the upcoming album from Icarus Himself. It’s due for release on October 11th.
