When a band performs in front of an audience, it creates another persona. You focus on playing the song while also entertaining the crowd, but you’re not quite the same person as you are offstage. In “Shake The Devil”, director Jess Carfield puts both the casual and serious versions of My Jerusalem on display. When setting up, they’re laid-back and all smiles. Once they play live though, they shift gears to match the desperate vocals and put on the best show they can.
“Shake The Devil” is from My Jerusalem’s 2010 debut album, Gone For Good.
