Army Navy Ode to Janice Melt
Blink-182 once said, There are only so many ways I can make love with my hand. However, the star of the new video from Army Navy manages to find more. When his wife goes on vacation, a man starts to have a passionate love affair with his hand, all while a band of hands play out the catchy song. I guess it could be worse; at least your hand will never leave you.
Com Truise Brokendate
Hopefully, cops of the future will be this badass. In this Com Truise music video/short film, the story follows an investigator who knows no boundaries and looks like a cross between Morpheus and Walter White. With the case of a dead girl to look into, the investigator does the unthinkable: He enters cyberspace!
Diego Stocco Music From a Dry Cleaner
Its not uncommon to use ordinary and industrial objects to create timbre and rhythm, but this video from Diego Stocco takes it to a whole new level. After setting up a group of microphones all over a dry cleaning shop, he uses the various tools, machines, and accessories to put together a totally awesome, catchy, and danceable song. This is how dub step should be made.
f e e d b a c k Episode 13: Colin Stetson
Colin Stetson lives a pretty awesome life. For one, hes a saxophone virtuoso, which is not something most people can lay claim to. Hes worked with a number of the coolest bands, such as Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, TV on the Radio, and David freaking Byrne. And finally, hes nominated for the Polaris Music Prize, which is a pretty big deal in Canada. And this short doc with Side B tells it all!
Icarus Himself On Your Side
This is the point in video history where hipster culture merges with Quentin Tarantino. The video depicts two different breeds of lovers, one in holy matrimony and the other dancing with the devil. Backed up with Icarus Himselfs fuzzy brand of synth-rock, the image and sound go hand in hand, much like both pairs of lovers depicted in the video no matter how deadly one of them appears to be.
Jacuzzi Boys Automatic Jail
Everybody wishes they could be something else. Its inevitable. We are a curious species, much like the canines. The irony of that curiosity is what Jacuzzi Boys chose to do with this slightly voyeuristic and wishful video. Within it, we see the world through two creatures’ eyes, a friendly dog and a (presumably) good-looking dude. The twist is that theyre actually the same perspective, but toxic waste TRANSFORMS THEM!
Mainland Summer Sick
With a nostalgic jam from Mainland, it was a no-brainer that the video had to match the tone. By giving the video the classic dirty film look, they were able to recreate a vacation we never went on with them and make us miss it. The shots of traveling around, staying up late, and running through the landscapes all make us realize life is a lot better when we are out of our elements.
My Jerusalem Shake the Devil
According to Shakespeare, All the world is a stage. This is true in some regards, but some of the best moments in our lives are when we feel nobody is watching. Then again, some of the best moments are when thousands of people are watching. This is the juxtaposition that is posed in Shake the Devil, as we see band members of My Jerusalem both on and off the stage. Offstage, they are a group of pals, enjoying the moment they share. But onstage, they are hypnotically powerful, with their instruments and beards.
No Cover Season 1 Outtakes
Ever wonder what life on the set of No Cover is like? Well, its pretty entertaining. People are often dropping pop culture knowledge and ridiculing one another for errors we make on the set. We figured we should reveal what things are like behind the scenes and how we truly are in real life. So, prepare to be wowed.
