Perfume Genius (aka Seattle songwriter Mike Hadreas) will return early next year with his sophomore LP Put Your Back N 2 It. The follow up to 2010’s Learning, the 12-track effort was recorded in England and Seattle with Andrew Morgan and John Goodmanson. The end result, according to Matador Records, “is much more universal, addressing intimacy, power, family, secrecy, and hope, not just through his impressionistic lyrics, but the music itself, which is as lush as Learning was stark.”
