Ryan Adams covers Galaxie 500

In the past few months, Ryan Adams has covered metal lords Iron Maiden, indie rock legend Bob Mould, and even the eternally-preppy Vampire Weekend. At last night’s gig at Boston, MA’s Orpheum Theatre, Adams’ added dream-pop legends Galaxie 500‘s “Blue Thunder” to his repertoire. Putting down the guitar for the piano, Adams crafted a slow, mournful little ditty, with an air of fragility as if it the whole ordeal weren’t long for this world (not bad for putting it together during soundcheck).
