After rejoicing the world with their uplifting Christmas anthem, drunk-punk supergroup Diamond Rugs will release its debut, self-titled album on April 24th via Partisan Records. For our second taste from the 14-track LP, the band has unleashed the lead single, “Gimme A Beer”, as a free download. The track is a clear synthesis of each of Diamonds Rugs’ component bands (Deer Tick, Black Lips, Los Lobos, Dead Confederate, and Six Finger Satellite), with a focus on heavy, twangy guitar work and an overall vibe that screams of dive bars.
