Most acts will tout achievements like winning a Grammy or being awarded the Polaris Prize. But few will tout a High Times magazine Doobie Awards nomination with such high regard as Seattle feminist punks TacocaT do.

The four-piece released their debut LP, Shame Spiral, back in 2008. Self-described as “Go-Go’s meets The Monkees,” the group uses pop culture references (e.g. tacos, gum, and lighters being popular topics) to make serious political and social commentary that transcends the confines of mere pop-punk.

On March 13th, the band will release their Hardly Arts debut 7″ EP, Take Me To Your Dealer, which features “Spring Break-Up”, a straight-ahead shot of jangly guitars, thrash-y drums, and riot grrrl vocals. Stream it below.
