Self-described as “The World’s Largest Music Festival,” the 45th annual Summerfest runs June 27th – July 1st and July 3-8th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Beach Boys, Aerosmith, Iron Maiden, and Tiësto are among the Marcus Ampitheater headliners, while The Roots, Ben Folds Five, The Avett Brothers, Common, Paul Oakenfold, Thievery Corporation, Atmosphere, The Head and the Heart, The Joy Formidable, and Heartless Bastards will play the festival’s various other stages. New York City’s Electronic Music Festival, Electric Zoo returns to Randall’s Island Park this Labor Day Weekend (August 31st – September 2nd.) Phase one of this year’s lineup includes Tiësto, David Guetta, Pretty Lights, Above & Beyond, A-Trak, The Bloody Beetroots, Axwell, Benny Benassi, and more. Tickets are now available via Made Event.
The third annual LouFest runs August 25-26th at Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri. The Flaming Lips, Girl Talk, and Dinosaur Jr. top this year’s bill and they’ll be joined by Dr. Dog Dawes, Cults, Phantogram, Son Volt, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, and more. Calagary Folk Music Festival runs July 26-29th in Prince Island Park, and features Jeff Mangum, Beirut, Iron & Wine, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Justin Townes Early, Randy Newman, and more. Tickets are now available via the festival’s website.
