Mumford and Sons will follow up their 2009 smash debut, Sigh No More, where they release their sophomore album in September. The band announced the news during their set at this weekend’s Pinkpop music festival in The Netherlands. A DJ for Dutch radio station 3FM reports that September 24th is the exact release date for Europe.
3FM also recorded a live session with the band, where they briefly spoke about the upcoming album and performed a brand-new cut entitled “Where Are You Now”. You can watch footage below.
Ahead of the album’s release, Mumford and Sons will spend the summer trudging through Europe. They’re also apparently announcing a U.S. fall tour tomorrow. You can find the full docket at their website.
