Want to feel old? Last month marked the 12-year anniversary since the release of Dan The Automator, Del The Funky Homosapien, and Kid Koala’s acclaimed concept album, Deltron 3030. Their sophomore album has been in the works since 2006, and fortunately, you won’t have to wait much longer to hear it.
Speaking with CBC Music, Dan the Automator revealed the album is finished and will mostly likely be released in September. “The records done with one or two maybe small touch ups What Im about [is] not changing any songs more like little, in between segue things.”
The trio previewed the new material in Toronto over the weekend and were accompanied by a choir and string and horn sections. Below, you can watch fan footage of a new song, possibly called “I Have Seen”.
Del said the new album “is not better than the last one. Its a whole nother experience. Whoever might be on that tip like waiting for the next coming or something, you aint gonna see it. Just relax and take it for what it is and youre gonna love this one just like you loved the last one.
