With Fucked Up on hold, frontman Damian Abraham is passing the time with his new side project, CrimSane. Featuring Matt Delong of No Warning and Violent Minds, the “kushcore” act more or less goes off the rails with scummy feedback, vacuum-pressured guitars, and earshot vocals – at least if the demo for what’s being called “ChinaFastGrow” is any indication. The lo-fi cut sounds nothing like last year’s David Comes to Life, but whereas that album was chock full of Friday night anthems, this demo’s downright frightening.
