Clap Your Hands Say Yeah has lost two of its members in as many days with the departure of multi-instrumentalist Robbie Guertin and bassist Tyler Sargent.

Guertin announced yesterday that he would be leaving the band to “pursue miscellaneous artistic endeavors,” specifically his project Radical Dads. Sargent released a similar statement today, though his reasoning was a bit more light-hearted: “I am currently in the process of forming a presidential exploratory committee for 2016.”

Both Guertin and Sargent will play their final show in Clap Your Hands Say Yeah this coming Saturday at Times Square as part of the CBGB Festival. As previously reported, the remaining members of the band are set to tour with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros this fall.
