My Morning Jacket, John Hiatt, Gregg Allman, Mavis Staples, John Mayer and a cavalcade of musicians will celebrate the life and times of the late, great Levon Helm at an all-star tribute concert. “Love for Levon” takes place on October 3rd at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ, and will also feature performances from Dierks Bentley, Ray LaMontagne, Patty Griffin, Bruce Hornsby, Joe Walsh, Eric Church, Warren Haynes, Lucinda Williams, Robert Randolph, Marc Cohn, and the Levon Helm Band. More “legendary surprise guests” will be announced in the coming days.

“We are deeply moved that so many musicians and friends of Levon’s are coming together to celebrate his life and his music, and to help us keep his musical spirit and vision alive in the Midnight Rambles,” said Sandy and Amy Helm, Levon’s wife and daughter. “We want to continue to honor his legacy by creating a musical landmark at the Barn, one that inspires and celebrates Americana music and its heritage.”

Helm passed away this past April after a lengthy battle with cancer. Tickets for the show are on sale August 29th, with all proceeds going to support Helm’s estate, including maintaining ownership of his home, barn, and studio, and the Midnight Ramble concerts.
