Chromatics will follow up this year’s Top Star-earning Kill for Love with three new songs on Italians Do It Better’s forthcoming After Dark II, a 16-track compilation that will also feature new music from Glass Candy, Desire, and a variety of other Johnny Jewel-related projects. While there’s still no solid release date — admittedly a nuisance with the elusive label — one of the band’s three songs has surfaced.
Titled “Looking for Love”, the five minute rendition of what’s reported to be a 17-minute track sneaks on by with more Carpenter-esque synths and Giorgio Moroder-inspired production. The label’s resident director Alberto Rossini assembled a video for the “brief” cut by patching together footage from Chanel’s Pret-A-Porter Printemps-Ete 2013 Runway that occurred in Paris, France earlier this month. According to the labels blog, the five-years-in-the-making compilation will be available as a triple LP on gold-glittered vinyl. No word on a release date, but you can take this cryptic message to heart: Coming Soon To A Theater Near You!
