Celebrated Minneapolis hip-hop collective Doomtree are the subject of a new documentary. According to the group’s website, Team The Best Team is a 70-minute film directed by Chris Handland, which chronicles the “past completely insane year in all seven of our lives.”

    As Doomtree member Lazerbeak explains:

Basically the movie follows Doomtree from the making of No Kings, through the week long Blowout 7 and subsequent whirlwind world tour, and back home on the ground in Minnesota, to get an insight into how the family, crew, and business operate behind the scenes.  To me it kind of sums up the eternal question “Just what is Doomtree?” better than any album ever could.

The film comes accompanied with a second bonus disc featuring bonus footage and deleted scenes. Pre-orders are now ongoing and those placed by December 1st will ship out by December 5th. Every pre-order also comes with a specially customized bag of Doomtree microwaveable popcorn! The official street date is December 11th. Below, you can watch a teaser trailer and see a photo of the popcorn.
