As Metal Sucks reports, Mastodon frontman Troy Sanders, Converge bassist Nate Netwon, and Dillinger Escape Plan singer Greg Puciato are collaborating together on a super metal super project, alongside Soulfly singer Max Cavalera and Mars Volta collaborator Dave Elitch.
Cavalera discussed the project during a recent interview on Singapore radio.
I think its gonna be a very original project. I dont know any other metal projects out there with three people singing like this. So it can be almost like a Transplants of metal. Transplants had three singers; this also has three singers, and it can be very, very great. Im following, in a lot of ways, some of the same footsteps as Nailbomb [Max’s mid-1990s project with Alex Newport of Fudge Tunnel] in my approach to this project a lot of do-it-yourself, punk-rock kind of feeling to the project. So the songs are written really quick I dont think too much about it. I like it more like that, so they are very raw. We are working on the [music] in December and then were hoping to get in the studio in January. The main thing we dont have is a name.
