London soul singer Jesse Ware has already had a stellar 2012. She’s released her debut LP Devotion to critical acclaim, signed to Cherrytree Records, and will drop her 110% EP in December. Now, Ms. Ware is lending a little of her own buzz to another upstart by teaming with the ultra-young, New-York-by-way-of-Japan production duo BenZel for a cover of Brownstone’s “If You Love Me”.

BenZel, comprised of Umi Takahashi (15) and Yoko Watanabe (16), transform the R&B ballad into something more sparse and reverb-y, with lots of slow drum claps and flourishes of melodic harmonies. Below, you can watch the accompanying music video, which features silhouettes of each performer painted in trippy acrylic paint and bubbles.
