…And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead already paid tribute to Pussy Riot on their new album Lost Songs with the song “Up to Infinity”. Now, members of the band have teamed with Atlanta band The Coathangers, under the name Thee Deadcoats, to cover Pussy Riot’s “Putin Lights Up the Fires”. Listen to it below (via Pitchfork).
The cover is available to purchase via Bandcamp. Proceeds will benefit Pussy Riot’s legal defense team and the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Sandy relief fund.
