Last night, The Colbert Report capped off its final episode in 2012 with another all-star Christmas carol. Following Wednesday night’s performance of Good King Wenceslas by Michael Stipe and Saul from Homeland, Stephen Colbert recruited Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, Sean Lennon, and the Harlem Gospel Choir for a rendition of “Happy Christmas (War Is Over)”. Fun fact: The song was originally sung by Sean’s mom and dad. Watch the replay below (via The Audio Perv).
