Coachella 2013 is sold out

Some weren’t fans of the headliners — others hadn’t even heard of them — but that didn’t stop Coachella from selling out its total allotment of tickets for both weekends. As their official Twitter account confirms, the festival is completely sold out as of 9:40 a.m. ET January 30th.

The festival sold a limited allotment of tickets late last summer, though it remains unclear how many were available for the general on-sale, which began yesterday at 1:00 p.m. ET. Regardless, it took the festival 21 hours to achieve a sellout status, which is impressive but pales in comparison to last year’s mark of three hours.

This year’s festival takes place April 12th-14th and 19th-21st at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. ICYMI: Here’s our analysis of the lineup, and here’s what happened when Rock it Out! Blog gauged the reaction of nearby Chicago college students.
