Proving that his heart goes out to more than just the ladies, R. Kelly has penned a track for the children of Newtown, CT. Sung by a children’s choir, the song features words of comfort for the survivors of the recent tragedy at Sandy Hill Elementary School. “We’re depending on you/to give us strength to carry on/help us up, and take us home now,” the choir sings. Keelz doesn’t actually sing a verse on the track, but the lyrics of “I Know You Are Hurting (Tribute To The Newton, Ct. Kids)” say all he needs to.
The song is available to purchase through iTunes with all proceeds going to benefit the victims’ families.
