As fans of Jack White, The Clash, and Ryan Adams can all attest, sometimes the cover version proves far better than the original. Such is the case for Dinosaur Jr.’s reworking of the new Phoenix single, “Entrainment”. Maybe it’s just the early morning fog, but J. Mascis whining “What you want and what you do to me” just feels more convincing. And those dirty guitar solos, they’re just great. Take a listen below (via SPIN).
